Our Mission

At GoMindfulHealthy, our mission is to empower individuals to cultivate a deeper connection with their food and their bodies. We believe that by practicing mindful eating and making conscious dietary choices, everyone can unlock the key to vibrant health and overall well-being.

My Journey

My journey of mindful eating began three years ago when my husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure and borderline high cholesterol. Before that, we were not mindful of what we ate, the portion sizes, or the nutritional content of our meals.

As I delved into research on how diet can impact health, I realized the profound effect food habits can have on preventing and managing diseases. We gradually shifted our eating habits, incorporating adequate protein, carbohydrates, and fats into each meal, and increasing our intake of dietary fiber. After a year of concerted effort, we observed significant improvements in his health outcomes. While we also emphasized exercise, our experience underscored that 80% of health outcomes are influenced by diet, with exercise comprising the remaining 20%.

We view food as more than mere sustenance; it is a potent tool for nourishing both the body and soul. By acknowledging the journey of our food from farm to table, we cultivate a deeper appreciation for its role in promoting health and its impact on both our well-being and the environment.

Our approach to mindful eating is grounded in simplicity, balance, and mindfulness. We advocate for slowing down, savoring each bite, and listening to our body’s cues to inform our eating choices. Through fostering a mindful connection with food, we aim to liberate individuals from restrictive diets and foster a more intuitive and joyful relationship with eating.
